About Us

HISTORY

Nutan Jeevan Foundation was founded on 2015 in response to the growing need of reaching out to the marginalized section of the society living in the remote and inaccessible communities of West Bengal, Bihar and Jharkhand with educational opportunities and basic medical care.

Low literacy and lack of opportunity sidelines people from impoverished background pushing them further into the vicious cycle of poverty, depriving them of their basic rights and access to resources. West Bengal ranks fifth in poverty charts, behind Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra with 22 percent of urban population in Bengal living below the poverty line.

Nutan Jeevan Foundation has been a catalyst in transforming people's lives and helping communities by bringing about holistic development through its four unique program models - Sponsorship, Knowledge Hubs, Medical and Microfinance Program.

Nutan Jeevan Foundation is creating an opportunity for a stable and secure future for those directly impacted by its four-fold programs, thereby making this a sustainable process where the marginalized would become educated, equipped and empowered to be able to support themselves and their families.

Since its inception in 2015, Nutan Jeevan Foundation has reached thousands of families in need, thereby, positively impacting lives of people living in neglect and those that have been sidelined for generations.
