Medical Clinic
Nutan Jeevan Foundation operates in the rural areas of West Bengal and in some parts of Bihar and Jharkhand where medical infrastructure is inadequate. In most of these communities, people either depend on the local quacks or resort to herbal remedies. Through the medical clinic program, we are reaching out to hundreds of families with quality healthcare and free medicines.
The medicines distributed during the camps prove effective as several patients inform that their health has improved. Eye checkup and need-based distribution of spectacles are done to help restore the vision of patients who cannot afford expensive eye-glasses. Additionally, patients diagnosed with cataract problems are referred to hospitals where surgery can be freely availed.
Potential areas we are able to impact through the medical clinics include the districts of Purulia, Murshidabad and North and South 24 Parganas in West Bengal and Katihar in Bihar.
Through the medical clinic program, Nutan Jeevan Foundation is having a significant impact on the lives of thousands of people living in marginalized communities who struggle to afford quality medical treatment. These medical clinics also ensure that people are getting the healthcare at the right time and seeing the doctor early enough before a small health problem turns serious against the backdrop of our failing healthcare system where costs are skyrocketing and the poor do not have the healthcare they need.
